Hi, I'm Anthony Redoblado — a digital media creative with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling.
Where It Started
My journey started with a genuine love of drawing and the visual arts. That passion led me through classical animation training, visual arts literacy, and eventually into the world of game art and animation. I even served as a life drawing monitor, which taught me a lot about observation, patience, and the fundamentals that underpin all great design.
Studio Experience
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working at some incredible places. I contributed to projects at Mercury Filmworks and IMAX, two studios known for raising the bar in animation and film. Earlier on, I built hands-on experience at Currys Art Store and Toronto Art, which deepened my appreciation for materials, craft, and the creative process. These experiences shaped the way I think about visual storytelling — always balancing artistry with purpose.
Teaching
Teaching has been woven into my life since 2002. Whether it was in-person workshops, serving as a life drawing monitor, or online through platforms like Preply (where I've maintained a high rating), I genuinely love helping others find their creative voice and build real skills. There's something deeply satisfying about watching someone have that "aha" moment.
Entrepreneurship
On the entrepreneurial side, I founded Imaginix, a startup where I gained firsthand experience navigating the world of investors, incubators, partnerships, and pitch competitions. More recently, I've been part of Seneca HELIX, a prestigious startup accelerator, which has sharpened my thinking around building scalable, impactful ventures.
Today
I'm in a really exciting place. I'm actively drawing, designing, and learning — exploring the frontiers of AI and prompt engineering, diving into interactive and VR projects, and staying deeply engaged with the gaming world that has always inspired me. I'm passionate about where creativity and technology converge, and I'm actively interested in opportunities spanning startups, venture capital, and Entrepreneur-in-Residence roles where I can contribute both creative vision and strategic experience.
If you're building something at the crossroads of art, technology, and human connection — I'd love to connect.
